How often Ozark homes need pumping
Every 3-5 years is the working rule for a family home on a 1,000-1,500 gallon tank. Full-time households, garbage disposals, and the smaller 750-gallon tanks common on older Christian County properties push that toward every 2-3 years. If you've never pumped it and you've owned the place more than five years, it's overdue.
What our pump-out includes
We pump the entire tank down to the sludge, not a quick surface skim. While it's open we inspect both baffles, check the tank walls for cracks, confirm the outlet isn't feeding solids to the drain field, and note the sludge level so you know how you're tracking. You get a written report with a photo and a suggested next-pump date.
Finding and digging up the lid
A lot of Ozark tanks, especially pre-2000 installs, have lids buried under 6-18 inches of soil. We locate the lid, hand-dig it out, and can install a riser to bring it to grade so the next pump-out is faster and cheaper. Risers are the best money you'll spend on an older system.
